Jean-Pierre Ngezigihe – Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Jean-Pierre is the founder of BlockWise, dedicated to helping fast-growing companies navigate emerging technologies, including AI and Digital Assets. Before founding BlockWise, he served as a Senior Management Consultant at KPMG, where he built tech solutions for the Banking and Capital Markets industry. He also played a crucial role in scaling DataHub, a Blockchain platform by Figment.
Earlier in his career, Jean-Pierre co-founded an online tax filing platform and learned Go-To-Marketing strategies in Deloitte’s Enterprise Technology and Tech Assets team. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and an active of the global fintech ecosystem through Fintech Cadence and Web3 Finance Club.
Jean-Paul Ngezigihe, CPA – Chief Technology Officer
Jean-Paul serves as the Chief Technology Officer, where he designs technology-driven solutions to simplify business tax processes. He joined BlockWise following the acquisition of Taxuby, the tax automation startup he founded. Previously, he worked as a Senior consultant at Deloitte in the AI and Algorithms practice, where he translated advanced analytics into actionable business outcomes.
Earlier in his career, Jean-Paul developed accounting rule engines for the Enterprise Technology group at CDPQ. He holds a Master’s degree in Human-Centered Data Science from the University of Toronto, a CPA designation, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting. Additionally, he is dedicated to community empowerment through his involvement with the Black Wealth Club.
Anne-Sophie Barbeau – People & Ops Coordinator
With over six years of experience in tech recruitment, including work with both top-tier agencies and Fortune 500 companies, Anne-Sophie has established herself as a trusted partner within our ecosystem. She excels at sourcing hard-to-find talent in areas such as Blockchain, Cloud Infrastructure, Security, Web3, and Data Science. In addition to her recruitment expertise, she now plays a key role in connecting people with operations.
As a champion of company culture, Anne-Sophie combines her strategic recruiting skills with practical people-operations knowledge to help our team grow efficiently and thrive.
Mohamed Sheikh – Digital Assets Advisor
Mohamed is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience at the intersection of Web3, finance, and emerging technologies. His career began in global blue-chip organisations, including GlaxoSmithKline and Aviva Insurance, where he honed his expertise in business partnering and internal controls.
Specialising in hyper-growth environments, Mohamed leads all facets of financial reporting, compliance, and budgeting. He provides strategic decision support to engineering and product teams, and advises founders on board-level presentations, investor reporting, cash-flow planning, runway management, and digital-asset portfolio optimisation. Mohamed holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Toronto, a Master of Professional Accounting, and is a designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
Doriane Ortiz – Strategic Finance Director
Doriane is a seasoned finance leader with over 14 years of experience, including several years in the blockchain and crypto industry. She brings a strong track record of scaling financial operations in high-growth environments, drawing from her background in multinational companies and emerging tech ventures.
Specializing in FP&A, robust financial data models, and budgeting, Doriane builds the infrastructure needed for accuracy, efficiency, and long-term scalability. Doriane advises Web3 founders, CFOs, and operations teams on financial strategy, compliance, and reporting, with a focus on data transparency and operational resilience. She is passionate about enabling smarter, data-driven decisions in the evolving landscape of digital assets and decentralized finance.
Afeez Awowole – Fractional CFO
Afeez is a globally recognized accounting leader and Web3-native strategist with over 18 years of experience across EY & KPMG advisory, global tech firms, and blockchain ecosystems. Afeez led the reporting infrastructure at Avalanche —one of the world’s most advanced blockchain networks. He previously served as Interim CFO at Enclave Markets, overseeing capital raises, revenue modeling, and regulatory compliance for the world’s first fully encrypted exchange.
He has advised listed and private clients on M&A, revenue recognition, and complex technical accounting. Afeez is a Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ICAEW), an ICAEW Business & Finance Professional, and holds an MBA from the University of South Wales. He is a sought-after voice on Web3 regulation, blockchain reporting, and the future of financial innovation.
George Jinadu – Technical Industry Advisor
George is a seasoned industry advisor with deep expertise in blockchain strategy, finance transformation, and enterprise technology implementation. With over a decade of experience, he has successfully led large-scale transformation initiatives across industries, including multiple $100M+ projects spanning data migration, SAP implementation, financial planning, and change management.
George brings a strategic lens to digital innovation, guiding founders, CFOs, and engineering teams on how to leverage blockchain and emerging technologies to drive operational efficiency, compliance, and sustainable growth. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and is certified in multiple project delivery frameworks, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
Moustapha Touré – Financial Accounting Analyst
Moustapha holds a master’s degree in Audit and Management Control from the Université du Québec à Montréal and is currently pursuing his CPA designation. He combines strong accounting expertise—focused on accounting controls and advanced analytics—with experience in commercial banking, where he evaluated credit risk and enhanced internal controls.
Passionate about financial analysis and internal auditing, Moustapha aims to leverage his dual background in banking and accounting to improve financial governance and drive sustainable growth for his clients.
Nadine Uwurunkundo – Accounting and Tax Associate
Nadine is a detail-oriented accounting professional with a Business – Accounting Diploma from Algonquin College. She has proven expertise in financial reporting and has gained valuable frontline experience in fast-paced environments, which has sharpened her problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and collaborative mindset.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online, Nadine provides accurate, data-driven insights that support informed financial decisions and enhance organizational efficiency.
Edwige Akpakoun – Executive Assistant
Edwige is a versatile executive assistant with proven expertise in client support, process optimization, and modern digital tools. She is proficient in Google Workspace, Notion, Asana, and Zapier
She streamlines workflows and automates routine tasks to enhance efficiency. Edwige multi-channel customer support allows the team to concentrate on growth while ensuring that operations run smoothly and professionally

Bassil Eid
Bassil Eid is the Swiss-Canadian co-founder and CEO of Breezing, a crypto sub-ledger that integrates on-chain transactions from over 30 blockchains directly into accounting softwares. Additionally, he leads Detof in Zürich, a boutique firm that offers crypto-native tax services, and fractional CFO services.
As an entrepreneur at heart, Bassil previously co-founded Earny, a venture-backed payroll automation platform designed for Swiss SMEs.
Bassil also teaches the Accounting for On-Chain Transactions module at The Accountant Quits’ Crypto Accounting Academy and speaks globally on the reconciliation of blockchain data. He holds a B.B.A. from Trent University and completed graduate economics/MBA coursework at the University of Ottawa.
Olivia Goudou
Olivia Goudou is an award-winning brand strategist and the founder of Gifted Branding, bringing over 20 years of global experience in marketing, communications, and revenue-driven brand development. She has contributed to the success of some of the world’s most respected brands, including Four Seasons Hotels, RBC, Intact Financial and Tangerine. Her work combines design expertise with a holistic, human-centered approach that fosters trust and advocacy among stakeholders.
Olivia began her career in advertising, creating campaigns for brands such as Pepsi, L’Oréal, and Bombardier. She later transitioned into corporate leadership, where she successfully turned brand equity into significant revenue growth.
Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, Olivia holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Université Paris Panthéon-Assas.
